This oil painting measures 30 x 30cm and comes in an off-white timber frame. The total size, including the frame is 39 x 39cm. It is loosely based on the beautiful countryside around Brittas Bay in County Wicklow.
I was inspired to paint this as a reaction to the renewed sense of wonder in nature that many of us experienced during the lockdowns of 2020 and 2021. If you look closely you might spot a couple of lonely (or perhaps contented) figures taking their morning stroll.
